I love Heather Locklear. And the former Spin City & Melrose Place alum will be guest starring in not one but two episodes of Rules of Engagement this season. Locklear will play Audrey’s sister Barbara, who announces that her marriage is on the rocks… and then accepts a date with none other than Russell.
No word yet on when Locklear’s two episode run will begin. The second season of Rules of Engagement will premiere on Monday, September 24 at 9:30pm.

Victoria Beckham will guest star in an episode of Ugly Betty this season, and she is playing bridezilla Wilhelmina’s bridesmaid… and she’s playing herself! It is being billed as the wedding of the century when Wilhelmina Slater (Vanessa Williams) and Bradford Meade (Alan Dale) tie the supposed knot.
Ugly Betty premieres on Thursday September 27 at 8pm, but there is no word yet on when the wedding episode with Victoria Beckham will air.
ABC has planned a new one hour special to attempt to hook in the Grey’s Anatomy fans into the ill-received spinoff series Private Practice, and is airing it in the Wednesday time slot being given to Private Practice.
The special is called “Come Rain or Come Shine: From Grey’s Anatomy to Private Practice” and will air at 9pm on Wednesday September 19th. I don’t know, but I think I would have called it something a bit more, um, different. And no word yet on what the special will be, exactly, but we will keep you posted!
We have been waiting for this! Finally we have the season 4 video preview of Grey’s Anatomy.
We see Lexie introduce herself to Meredith… and we see Derek say to Lexie “You’re the girl from the bar” to which Meredith replies “Girl form the bar? I’m the girl from the bar”. We also see Izzie confront George. And we see how Cristina is quite a lot like Bailey when it comes to dealing with her interns.
Access Hollywood was at the Heroes party, and the cast members spilled some secrets for the upcoming season.
Nearly five minutes of Heroes goodness for those of you suffering from withdrawl!
A little bit more about Pushing Daisies, which is gearingup to be the hottest new show of the season. Jayma Mays, who has appeared on both Heroes and Ugly Betty, will be guest starring on Pushing Daisies. She will play Elsita, who lives in a, uh, windmill. Yes, you read that right
Pushing Daisies will premiere on October 3rd, but Jayma won’t appear until the fourth episode of the series.

When Fred Thompson left Law & Order because of his presidential aspirations, it also raised the issue whether older episodes featuring Thompson would still be allowed to air under the equal airtime guidelines granted candidates running for office. As you will recall, Thompson asked to be released from his contract after rumors of his presidential dreams hit the press.
seem that TNT isn’t worried about issues surrounding Fred Thompson and the 100 or so episodes of the long-running drama he appears in.
TNT will air 23 episodes of the drama next week alone, apparently unworried about limiting Branch’s airplay even as the Tennessee Republican plans to announce his presidential candidacy.
“TNT has no plans to alter its schedule,” spokeswoman Shirley Powell said, a stance that could provoke a fight in the courts or before the Federal Communications Commission.
Equal time rules require TV stations to provide the same airtime to opponents when a candidate appears on the air. The many exceptions — news shows, talk shows, interviews, documentaries — essentially mean the rules apply to entertainment programming.
Thompson’s expected post-Labor Day entrance into the race triggered NBC’s decision to stop airing “Law & Order” reruns featuring him starting Sept. 1. Next week Thompson will essentially shift time slots on NBC: The “Tonight” show announced said that he will appear as a guest with Jay Leno on Thursday.
I am kind of hoping one of his opponents does challenge it to see how the ruling holds up for entertainment fictionalized shows on television.
