TV Spoilers for August, 2007

Vanessa William’s ex-hubby Rick Fox guest stars on Ugly Betty

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

It’s a family reunion, of uncomfortable sorts, on Ugly Betty. Vanessa Williams’ EX-husband (yes, you read that right) Rick Fox has signed to guest star on two episodes of Ugly Betty. And what’s more, he will play Wilhelmina’s bodyguard!!!

I am assuming the producers of Ugly Betty are smart enough to have cleared this mess with Vanessa before hiring her ex. So hopefully they are on somewhat speaking terms, or well, let’s just say the chemistry could be REALLY interesting!

Harold & Kumar’s John Cho guest starring on Til Death

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

John Cho will appear in three episodes of Til Death on FOX next season.

Cho will play the principal of a prestigious private school who squares off with Jeff Woodcock (Eddie Kaye Thomas), the public school’s vice principal. The domestic comedy, entering its second season, stars Brad Garrett and Joely Fisher as a jaded married couple, who live next door to newlyweds played by Thomas and Kat Foster.

John is best known for his Harold & Kumar movies. And his sidekick in the movies, Kal Penn, will also appear on FOX, with his recurring role on House.

Greek’s Calvin getting a love interest!

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Calvin - who is in the closest - will be getting a love interest by the time the first season of Greek is over. No word on who will be playing him, but since Calvin is a frat brother, this could make for a pretty interesting storyline on multiple levels. And don’t forget, you will have ten additional episodes of Greek goodness, since ABC signed on for another ten episodes on top of the current ten.

Elizabeth Reaser will return to Grey’s Anatomy

Looks like someone had a change of heart. It had looked as though Elizabeth Reaser would not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy. But now she will be returning, for at least two episodes. Elizabeth played Ava, the pregnant Jane Doe injured in the ferry crash.

I was still kind of hoping for an Izzie and Alex reunion, especially to get away from the whole Izzie and George thing, but I did like Ava and Alex together too…. and so long as he isn’t with Addison, anyone is good for me!

Daphne Zuniga & Michaela McManus cast in One Tree Hill

Monday, August 6th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Remember Daphne Zuniga? Well, depending on your tastes, you either remembered her from Melrose Place or Spaceballs. But she will be appearing on One Tree Hill for five episodes!

Casting scoop! Newcomer Michaela McManus has been added to the cast for a multi-episode arc. She’ll be playing a “tough but kind” New York editor assigned to work on Lucas’ novel. Daphne Zuniga, meanwhile, is doing five episodes as a “glamorous and intimidating” business exec who works with Brooke.

Don’t you just love Ausiello and his casting scoops?

Ben Vereen to guest star on Grey’s Anatomy

Monday, August 6th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

I saw Ben Vereen playing the Wizard on Broadway in Wicked, and now he will be guest starring in the upcoming season of Grey’s Anatomy. He will play a burn victim in the October 4th episode of the show.

No word on anything else about his character as of yet, since the news came from his spokesperson and not anyone from Grey’s Anatomy who seem to be keeping this season quite well under wraps!

Heroes spoilers on Niki’s upcoming season

The ever cryptic Ausiello has this little gem…

We’ll be seeing less of Ali Larter this fall as Niki takes off early in the season to, as Larter herself teases, “fix something. And once it’s fixed, it will be very shocking and exciting.”

Hmmmm… any thoughts?

Dog the Bounty Hunter no longer a wanted man in Mexico

Friday, August 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Looks like the Chapmans have something to celebrate. A Mexico court has dismissed the charges against the various Chapmans.

A judge has canceled an order for the arrest of Chapman, who for more than three years has faced the possibility of extradition to serve a jail sentence in Mexico, attorney Eduardo Amerena told Reuters.

“Chapman can now be in Mexico without any problem,” Amerena said.

Chapman, a burly ex-con who says he has caught more than 7,000 criminals and fugitives, jumped bail in Mexico and fled to the United States in 2003 after spending two weeks in jail. Bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico.

Chapman’s lawyers said prosecutors would almost certainly appeal but that they were confident the ruling would stand. The prosecutors’ office could not be reached for comment.

Chapman was arrested after seizing Luster on the street in the tourist town of Puerto Vallarta to take him back to the United States to serve a 124-year jail sentence for drugging and raping three women.

I admit, I am happy he, Leland and Tim got off on the charges, although you must admit, Dog got a ton of publicity from the media surrounding the capture of Andrew Luster and his subsequent jail time.

Henry will return on Ugly Betty for next season

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

uglybettycast.jpg

Even though Betty is getting a new love interest, have no fear, Ausiello assures us he will be sticking around for the upcoming season.

Yes, Henry is definitely sticking around this season. I know this because A) Christopher Gorham was at ABC’s press tour party last Thursday, and B) the show is casting the role of Kenny, Henry’s BFF and office mate who speaks faux gangsta and tries to be cooler than he actually is.

So even though they just got together, we know they won’t be together too long. But at least he’s still sticking around the show!

ABC ordered ten more Greek episodes

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Looks like ABC Family believes their new college drama Greek is going to be a hit, since they just ordered up ten more episodes of the series. Only the first three episodes have aired so far, of the ten initially ordered. But its third episode had the highest ratings yet, meaning its picking up steam.

Greek stars Jacob Zachar as a college freshman and Spencer Grammer as his sister, who is a sorority member.
