MTV picks up The Hills for another season

Friday, April 6th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Like watching spoiled girls on television screw up their lives? You are in luck because MTV has renewed The Hills, the Laguna Beach spinoff, for another season.

The Laguna Beach spinoff, featuring the adventures of Hollywood “It Girls” Lauren, Heidi, Whitney and Audrina, is currently MTV’s number one show, with an average of 2.7 million viewers tuning in each week.

According to the network’s calculations, the series reached a total of 60 million viewers over the course of the second season, and delivered nearly 18 million show-related streams online, including close to 1 million streams of the live After Show finale special.

Because the live show was such a success, MTV plans to repeat the special at the conclusion of the third season, while continuing to air after-show webisodes following each episode.

Watch for the third season this summer.

CSI Miami casting bald Britney Spears lookalike

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Ah, to be a celebrity who is so famous (or is that infamous!) she is having her clone has in an episode of CSI Miami.

A character inspired by the recently shorn pop star will appear in an upcoming episode of CSI:Miami about an actor who’s killed during a stay in rehab, CBS confirmed to E! News Tuesday, calling Spears’ influence “a small part of the episode.”

It won’t be the Spears character getting the postmortem workup, but while at the facility to investigate the victim’s death, the David Caruso-led forensics team comes across a starlet who has shaved her head.

Of course, I thought it would have been fun if Britney Spears offered to play herself in rehab! Could kick off her acting career again since she seems to be all over the place with what she wants to do at the moment.

The Sopranos death montage video covers all the Sopranos deaths to date

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Ever wondered just how many have been knocked off on The Sopranos (and we know there is definitely one more death coming!), HBO has put together a two minute video montage showing all the deaths, the character names, and which episode each was killed in.

It sure reminds you how violent this show is when you see them all together like this! And surprised at how many I had forgotten about too.

And only a few days before the second half of the season begins!

Men in Trees Patrick & Annie wedding spoilers

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

menintrees2.jpg
Suffering from Men in Trees withdrawl after the hiatus was extended to May when fans were expecting new episodes in April? Well, Ausiello has come to the rescue with a ton of spoilers courtesy of the Men in Trees producers.

“A series of ill-fated events and a streak of bad luck that threatens to ruin Patrick and Annie’s wedding comes as no surprise to Mai, who predicted Patrick and Annie’s union would be doomed after discovering the pair have incompatible astrological charts. Things eventually reach a boiling point, which leaves everyone, especially Annie, wondering if Mai’s prophecy is true. Cash (Scott Elrod) comes back to Elmo (at a pivotal moment) and, though Marin is glad to see him, she can’t help but wonder what the real reason for his unexpected return is. Pastor Eric (Nicholas Lea) faces the possibility of losing his ministry when members of his congregation question the nature of his relationship with Sara. Jane flies in for Patrick and Annie’s nuptials and is reunited with both Annie’s fresh-out-of-rehab brother, Danny (Josh Randall), and her former flame, Sam aka Plow Guy (Ty Olsson).”

So what do you think? Will the wedding go through? And will anyone be able to not envision the X-Files Alex Krycek when they see Nicholas Lea as the Pastor?

Horatio’s plane crashes in CSI Miami season finale

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

csimiami2.jpg
We have some season finale spoilers!

When Horatio (David Caruso) captures a suspected criminal and must fly him to a different jurisdiction to stand trial, their plane inexplicably loses control and crashes in the Everglades.

We have seen numerous plane crashes on CSI Miami, but never with any of the main characters directly involved… until now. I can’t wait to see how this plays out. I am curious there is no mention about the employee who gets canned… but maybe it will be in an episode before the finale.

New Grey’s Anatomy clip show hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Monday, April 2nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Another Grey’s clip show is about to happen, but at least this time we get to ogle Jeffrey Dean Morgan while watching it!

The one-hour special, “Grey’s Anatomy: Every Moment Counts,” premiering THURSDAY, APRIL 12 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), will debut the world broadcast premiere of a music video combining scenes from the hit series and singer/songwriter Brandi Carlile’s title track video from her new album, “The Story.”

The special, which highlights some of the most memorable moments from the last three seasons, will be hosted by actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, loved by “Grey’s Anatomy” fans for his role as Denny on the series.

On her new album, “The Story,” Brandi Carlile opens up her heart, soul and psyche in a series of memorable songs that invite you into her world. To her growing community of fans, it’s Carlile’s revelatory imagery, stark emotive vocals and finely-detailed songs which provide the keys to who she is, where she’s been and where’s she’s going. The title track provides a perfect backdrop for the drama and intensity of the experiences of the characters on “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Wonder if there is room for a Denny look-a-like at the new spin-off show?

Maury Povich & Alec Baldwin guest star on 30 Rock

Monday, April 2nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

When 30 Rock returns from its hiatus early on April 5th, both Maury Povich and Alec Baldwin will be appearing in guest starring roles on the popular show. And what’s more, they will be appearing in flashbacks!

From the awesome Ausiello:

There’s a dream sequence involving Maury Povich and Alec Baldwin that will have you howling. And you haven’t lived until you’ve seen Will Arnett seducing Kenneth the page in nothing but a mini-robe.

I really love Maury… I mean, who can get tired of those great “I slept with both my brother-in-laws and my best friends boyfriend, and I don’t know if my hubby is my baby’s daddy” DNA reveal episodes. This should be a great episode, not to mention getting to see it a whole two weeks early!

Spoilers from first episode of Bachelor: An Officer & a Gentleman

Sunday, April 1st, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

The ABC press release dishes on some of the upcoming premiere episode of the Bachelor: An Officer & a Gentleman edition of the Bachelor. And yep, two girls are going to have waaaay too much to drink, much to our amusement! And as a bonus, one chick flips out when she doesn’t get a rose… let me guess, she is sure they have a connection and he’s made the biggest mistake of his life!

U.S. Navy Lieutenant Andy Baldwin, M.D., 30, a handsome undersea medical officer for a special operations dive unit stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii - a real-life “officer and a gentleman” - is about to face the most exciting mission of his life: finding true love.

Andy, an accomplished triathlete and winner of recent humanitarian awards for his work in Laos last summer — on a military mission where he treated over 600 Laotians in remote mountain villages — begins his marathon run to find the woman of his dreams. In the premiere episode, “1001,” the bachelorettes arrive to party and meet Andy, and are quick to find out that the competition starts immediately - right as they get out of their cars. This time it really is a “first impression” rose that Andy must deliver to one lucky lady as she arrives, and it’s enough to send daggers flying between the 25 new bachelorettes.

Coincidentally, this first night also happens to be Andy’s 30th birthday, and the news spreads like wildfire around the room. The bachelorettes pull out all the stops to impress Andy: Linda, a female body-builder, challenges him to a push-up contest, Stephanie W, an acrobatic bachelorette, is so taken by the Bachelor that she literally does back flips for him in her evening dress in a must-see demonstration, and Tina treats Lieutenant Baldwin to a patriotic serenade of “The Star Spangled Banner.”

Andy will be cutting ten women in the first episode of the show. And we already have the cast list of the original 25 here.
