TV Spoilers for February, 2007

Joel Grey gives Sarah & Joe marriage counseling on Brothers & Sisters

Sunday, February 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

I love Joel Grey. So I was pretty happy to see he is going to be appearing on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters later this month, and playing a marriage counselor! But which couple in the disfunctional clan will be the receipients of this marriage counseling? We know! Sarah and Joe!

Some intel from the office staff may sway Kitty’s vote about her future with Senator McCallister. Meanwhile, Sarah and Joe dive further into therapy (guest starring Joel Grey as marriage counselor Dr. Jude Bar-Shalom), and Tommy has a chance encounter with a distant relative that will change everything for the Walker family.

I can’t wait! This episode airs Sunday, February 18th at 10pm.

Ed Helms now a regular on The Office

Sunday, February 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Fans of former Daily Show’s Ed Helms will be happy to hear that he has been promoted on The Office. Formerly, he was cast as simply a special guest star, but now he will be a series regular according to Zap2It!

Ed Helms, who’s had a recurring part on the Emmy-winning NBC comedy this season, has been bumped up to a series regular for the remainder of the year. That would seem to indicate that his character, Andy Bernard, is more or less a permanent fixture in the Scranton, Pa., office of paper company Dunder Mifflin.

Helms and Rashida Jones, who plays co-worker Karen Filippelli, moved to the Scranton office from Stamford, Conn., along with three others when the two branches merged in a November episode. The others have since quit or been fired, leaving Andy and Karen as the lone Stamfordites remaining.

This could make things pretty interesting since it seemed he wouldn’t be around again!

Supernatural gets a visit from Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer

Sunday, February 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Those who are craving some Battlestar Galactica action should check into the February 22nd episode of Supernatural, when Tricia Helfer (Number 6 on Battlestar Galactica) stops by for a guest starring role on the Sci-Fi series. The episode is titled Road Kill.

On a dark highway, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) run into a young woman, Molly (Helfer), who is being chased by an evil-looking farmer on the highway. She and her husband had been driving when the farmer suddenly appeared in front of their car. They swerved to avoid hitting him, crashed into a tree and now her husband is missing. In their quest to find Molly’s husband, the Winchester brothers confess to Molly that this farmer haunts the highway the same day every year to claim a new victim and unfortunately, he’s set his sights on her.

Can’t wait!

A female Hero will be shot on Heroes… by another Hero!

Sunday, February 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

heroes3.jpg

Ausiello has some stellar Heroes scoop, including that one of the female Heroes will be shot, and the shooter will be another Hero!

A female Hero will get shot during sweeps, and you’re never going to guess by whom. (Hint No. 1: It’s another Hero — and a good one at that. Hint No. 2: It may be tied to this teaser NBC just released for the Feb. 26 episode: “H.R.G.’s past catches up to him as Matt and Ted Sprague come to Texas looking for answers, and take him, his wife, his son and Claire hostage.”

Doncha just love February :)

Adam Sandler guests on King of Queens

Sunday, February 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

I love Adam Sandler, and I am pretty excited he is going to be appearing on a sitcom! King of Queens is the lucky recipient of Adam Sandler for a guest star, when he plays the old high school buddy of Kevin James’ character.

Now, Adam Sandler is a pretty big score for any television show, but Ausiello has his own suspicions about how King of Queens managed to snag the popular comic actor.

A little birdie with ties to the soon-to-conclude sitcom tells me that Adam Sandler taped a guest appearance last night for an episode slated to air in April. The erstwhile Billy Madison plays a goofy high-school chum of Kevin James’. The two reconnect at their class reunion, but there’s a twist: Sandler’s character, the ex-class clown, is now the school’s vice principal!

How’d producers pull off such a casting coup? Reps for the show declined to comment, but it’s a safe bet that Sandler did it as a favor to James, his costar in the upcoming gay-buddy comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Just a hunch.

King of Queens, despite only returning to the CBS schedule recently is back on hiatus until April 9th. And then the final 9 episodes of the season - as well as the series - begin.

Promos, scenes and spoilers from Lost episode Not in Portland - 7 videos!

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Ok, so it is T minus 4 days until we finally get the second half of the Lost season… and we have spoilers, previews and scenes from the first episode we see after the break. The episode, Not in Portland, is Juliet-centric.

First, here is a full length scene!

And Juliet giving the instructions to kill Sawyer and Kate…

And some of the last Lost moments. This one is number 12, and it shows that Sawyer and Kate do get a boat to get off the island… but Sawyer won’t be so happy with Kate after what she says to him… let’s just say the Jack and Kate fans will be sighing with relief ;)

And a hilarious scene between Sawyer and Jin, who is trying out his newly learned English skills… so we know Sawyer (and Kate?) make it back to the rest of them. Lost moment #11

And Lost moment #9, this one with Hurley and Charlie, and again another funny moment… maybe there will be more of these in the final episodes of the season.

And Lost #10, featuring the much beloved Vincent the Dog making his grand re-entrance to the show, with quite the :ahem: interesting toy in his mouth.

And the final Lost moment, ironically number 13.

30 Rock yanked from the NBC schedule until April

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

In a somewhat surprising move, NBC has pulled 30 Rock from their schedule. The show, which has been doing fairly well in the ratings although not the runaway hit NBC was hoping, has had a ton of fan support for it, but it didn’t seem to be quite enough to ensure the safety of the show.

The good thing is that its hiatus is not permanent, which seems to happen with so many shows these days, and fans will be able to mark the date of the show’s return. 30 Rock has a return date already scheduled for April 19th, when it will begin airing the final run of episodes for the season.

We have Survivor Fiji spoilers for the upcoming season!

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Jeff Probst has been doing some talking, and we have been doing some listening! In addition to what we have already told you about (which you can read here) we also have some brand new scoop!

  • First off, all castaways will spend the first three days at the fancy camp that has all the bells and whistles, then it is on the third day they get split up into the haves and have-nots.

  • Survivor, which is taped well in advance, was not aware that the Apprentice was doing the same kind of haves and have-nots stunt as well. However, Probst says the two shows handle them very differently.
  • The nicer camp includes things such as a sofa and sewing machine.
  • The have-nots have it so bad they lick rainwater from leaves and celebrate finding a lone pineapple to share.
  • The hidden immunity idol gets played more than once this season. No more hoarding!
  • Nobody is getting it on this season.
  • There might be a final three again instead of just a final two.
  • The tribes were uneven because a castaway quit just hours before the filming began.

Survivor begins its Survivor Fiji season on February 8th on CBS.

Eric Delko gets shot on CSI Miami during February sweeps

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

csimiamicast.jpg

After a ton of speculation, Ausiello has confirmed that the regular cast member that will be shot during February sweeps is Eric Delko. And Clavo Cruz (as we previously reported was returning to the show) is involved.

The two episodes, No Man’s Land and Man Down air on Monday February 5th and 12th as a two part episode.

The first episode:

A truck carrying hundreds of confiscated weapons on their way to be incinerated is sabotaged and Horatio learns that Clavo Cruz, a killer he put away years ago, is behind it. Although Cruz is still behind bars, Horatio fears he may be planning an escape. The situation worsens when an 11-year-old boy is gunned down with one of the weapons taken from the truck.

And the second:

Horatio and Delko are ambushed while searching for a kidnapped court stenographer in a parking garage, and a CSI is seriously wounded. The woman was abducted by Clavo Cruz, who escaped from prison. The investigation reveals Cruz may be involved with selling illegal African diamonds.

Natalie Cole to appear and sing on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Natalie Cole will be stopping by Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip when she performs for Matt & Harriet… and the song was recorded specifically for the show! And downloads of the show support a good cause too.

The Grammy-winning singer’s new version of the Burt Bacharach-Hal David classic, “Say a Little Prayer,” was created through the SaveMyLive.org charitable organization, Cole’s recording label said. Once the Web site officially launches, visitors can download the song to donate money to the organization, which targets AIDS in Africa.

“Not only was it an amazing experience getting to work with a group of such talented actors,” said Cole, “I like knowing that the recording for ‘Say a Little Prayer’ will be benefiting a charity that has become close to my heart.”

The episode is set to air on Monday, February 5th.

Friday, February 2nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Brooke Langton, most famous for her Melrose Place stint, has signed on to join Friday Night Lights. She will play Riggin’s love interest on the show.

In what amounts to another big score for Friday Night Lights’ resident man-whore, Melrose Place alum Brooke Langton is joining the cast as a love interest for Riggins (Taylor Kitsch), sources confirm. Langton’s character — a single mom who moves in next door to Riggins — first shows up at the end of sweeps. The little cradle robber’s on board for at least four episodes.

Tim Gunn’s new job might mean he’s on for Project Runways fourth season

Friday, February 2nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

There has been so much speculation about the fact Tim Gunn might not be back for a fourth season of the popular Project Runway franchise. But it appears it might have been a coverup until he announced his departure from Parsons The New School for Design, where his teaching schedule conflicted with the fourth season. He announced he is leaving the school to join Liz Claiborne Inc as chief creative officer.

I suspect we will be hearing any time now that Tim will be back on Project Runway, especially since it was stressed his new job would not conflict with the show. Wonder if Liz Claiborne has just become a major sponsor or somehow gets tied into the show now.

Tim starts work at Liz Claiborne in March.
