What About Brian on chopping block? Episode order cut from 22 to 19

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

It is never a good thing when your show gets its episode order cut back… but unfortunately for the cast and crew of What About Brian, that is exactly what they have done. The original order was for 22 episodes, but ABC has informed the show that they only need to do 19 instead of the full season.

The story ABC is giving is that the schedule is full and there just isn’t room to air an additional three episodes. Hmmm…

Bad news for fans who are hoping to see What About Brian next season… however it is good news that I haven’t heard a peep about a series finale.

Reba will not be back next season, series wraps up in February

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Despite being the CW’s highest rated show, Reba is getting the boot from the network. And not only that, the sixth and final season will be a short one with only thirteen episodes and will wrap up in a few weeks.

The season finale will air as a two-part back-to-back episode airing Sunday, February 18th, and here is all the nitty gritty.

In the first half-hour of the finale, Cheyenne (JoAnna Garcia) and Van (Steve Howey) confirm Reba’s (Reba McEntire) worst nightmare - that she is becoming their own version of Barbra Jean (Melissa Peterman), dropping by their new house unannounced. Also, when Barbra Jean has a meltdown in the middle of her weather report, Brock (Christopher Rich) interprets her emotions as a sign that she isn’t ready to give up on their marriage. In the second half-hour of the finale, Van accidentally starts a fire at his and Cheyenne’s new house, forcing them to temporarily move back in with Reba. Realizing they may not be ready for such a big responsibility, they ask Reba if they can stay with her, but she surprises everyone by turning them down. Barbra Jean seriously considers accepting a job offer from a station in Arkansas, so it’s left to Reba to get her to turn down the offer and stay with her family where she belongs. Scarlett Pomers and Mitch Holleman also star. The first half-hour was directed by Will Mackenzie and written by Pat Bullard (#6AES12). The second half-hour was directed by Will Mackenzie and written by Chris Atwood (#6AES13).

I admit, I always hoped that Brock and Reba would get back together in the end, but it looks like that won’t be happening :(

It is a shame that Reba just wasn’t a priority for the CW. They wavered on whether or not to bring back Reba for a sixth season despite its high ratings, and then decided it would only be a mid-season replacement show. I am really disappointed with their decision to axe the show after only half of the sixth season.

Lost exec tries to shut down Michelle Rodriguez flashback episode rumor

Monday, January 29th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

analucia.jpg

So is she or isn’t she appearing on an upcoming episode of Lost? Rumors were swirling around that Michelle Rodriguez (Ana Lucia) was in Hawaii filming a flashback episode, but now the exec producer is denying the story… a month after the rumor got traction and was supposedly confirmed.

Someone who is not coming back anytime soon, however, is Michelle Rodriguez — despite rumors to the contrary. “She was over in Hawaii visiting friends and all of a sudden there was this furor,” he [Cuse] says of recent Web rumors. “We might have her back at some point, but she’s not currently back on the show.”

She was supposedly popping up in another character’s flashback episode that would air during the second half of this season.

So what do you think? I think she will still be appearing, it just seems to coincidental that now they are saying she was simply there visiting friends. I vote foiler!

We haven’t really seen much of Vincent lately, although he tends to make an appearance here and there over random stuff. But Ausiello has revealed that Vincent will be coming back… and for him to make a big deal about it, you know it means that Vincent will be playing an important role in something coming up soon…

Question: Where the frak is Vincent on Lost? Was he on the boat with Michael and Walt?— Casey
Ausiello: No, he’s still on the island, per Cuse, who reveals, “The dog is coming back very soon.”

And it is sooooo almost time for brand spanking new episodes!!!

Men of Grey’s Anatomy shower scene spoof

Sunday, January 28th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Not quite a spoiler, but this video has popped back up on YouTube. This was a spoof that Grey’s Anatomy did of their famous “girls in the shower” George fantasy scene (you will remember George fantasizing about being in the shower with Meredith, Izzie and Christina at the beginning of the big Super Bowl episode). This time, they used the men instead and aired it during ABC’s fall pickups event. Patrick Dempsey, Isaiah Washington, and James Pickens Jr. are taking the shower together… and you’ll just love seeing whose fantasy this is!

Charlie’s in trouble on Lost… Sun finds out he kidnapped her

Saturday, January 27th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

lostcharlie.jpg

Ah Charlie, he just can’t get things right. And sounds like things are going to be going very wrong for him again, just when he was back in Claire’s good graces.

Charlie’s about to get his comeuppance for kidnapping Sun last season. “That is getting resolved in an upcoming episode,” exec producer Carlton Cuse tells me. “Sun finally finds out who actually did that to her. It takes place in another character’s episode, but it becomes an important ancillary part of that episode.” Cuse adds that it’s a “reasonable assumption” that the reveal will cause problems between Charlie and Claire.

I wonder how it will get revealed and why that would come about? Maybe it relates somehow with Sun’s pregnancy?

Who dies on Sopranos? We have some scoop!

Saturday, January 27th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

So who dies on Sopranos? Well, it looks like Sopranos is going to pack some punch when they finally start airing new episodes in 2007. We have been forever waiting for the second half of season six to hit their air, and it looks like they have a big death that will shock us all, according to Kristen from E!

From Yiize222: Anything on the new season of Sopranos?
A big death. Huge. Like, one of the people you’d think they could never kill off. It’s not Tony, but it’s not far off…

I had my initial hunches (someone related to Tony through blood or not-so-marital-bliss) but would they really do that? Hmmmm…

However, Ausiello has a bit of a tidbit as well…

All I’ll say is this person was in pretty rough shape when last we saw him.

Any better guesses now ;)

Sookie pregnant on Gilmore Girls, but who’s the daddy?

Friday, January 26th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Melissa McCarthy of Gilmore Girls is pregnant, and looks like the writers will have Sookie pregnant on the show for the third time. But, since Jackson has had a vasectomy, who is the daddy? Ausiello seems to hint that Taylor will be the daddy-to-be and shake things up.

Question: Do you know how Gilmore Girls plans to deal with Melissa McCarthy’s pregnancy?— Katherine
Ausiello: Scoop! They’re dealing with it by making Sookie pregnant for a third time. Not sure how Dave R. is gonna pull that one off, considering Jackson had that vasectomy and all. Maybe Taylor’s the daddy? I kid. I kid.

Won’t this make things interesting!

Prison Break’s Dr. Sara, Sarah Wayne Callies, is pregnant

Friday, January 26th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Michael Ausiello of course has the scoop! Sarah Wayne Callies, who plays Dr. Sara on Prison Break, is expecting a baby!

Exclusive! Prison Break Leading Lady Pregnant! You read it here first: Prison Break’s Sarah Wayne Callies is expecting her first child with husband Josh Winterhalt, the actress’ spokeswoman confirms. The baby is due in late summer.

What exactly does this mean for Dr. Sara on PB? I’ll have the scoop on that in the coming days, but suffice it to say that Michael’s crush will be MIA for at least the early part of any Season 3. (Can you say, “kidnap victim?” Can you?)

Congrats to the mother-to-be!

Two upcoming weddings on Desperate Housewives

Friday, January 26th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

So, who is getting married? Well, the ever-sly Marc Cherry won’t reveal just who the brides-to-be are, but he has said that fans have two weddings to look forward to this season. One sounds very much a spur of the moment wedding while the other will be all flowers and fairy tales.

Before this season is over, there are going to be two weddings on Wisteria Lane.

“One is a quickie wedding,” Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry reveals in an exclusive interview with MediaVillage. “The other will be a big legendary soap opera wedding, the kind that folks are hopefully going to tune in for.”

Ok, I can’t help but wonder if the quickie bride will be Julie. Wouldn’t that make a great storyline with her mom freaking out ;)

Friday, January 26th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Incase you missed the promo for next week’s episode, enjoy! It is episode 3×14 Wishin’ and Hopin’ which airs next Wednesday. Guess they need something interesting to keep our minds off the whole Isaiah saga.

Any guesses about who is on the floor in the ER? And doesn’t that guy on the table look eerily like George?

Mariska Hargitay & Christopher Meloni sign on for two more seasons of Law & Order: SVU

Thursday, January 25th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Detectives Benson and Stabler aren’t going anywhere. Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni have signed new contracts to return for the nineth season of Law & Order: SVU, cashing in on two-year contracts that would pay the duo at least $333,000 per episode. The new contract now makes Hargitay the highest-paid actress on TV today, leaping over Kyra Sedgwick in The Closer.

There had been a lot of speculation over the contract negotiations and the possibility that the two might not resign because of the money issue… something that seemed might come true with the announcement of the hiring of Adam Beach.

Law & Order: SVU was just picked up for next season, but with the new contracts, fans can be assured the franchise series will be around for at least another two seasons.

Jennifer Aniston & Courtney Cox kiss on Dirt season finale!

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Ah, the dream situation for every teenage (and older!) guy out there. Ausiello has the scoop that not only will Jennifer Aniston be guest starring on the season finale of Dirt, but she will also be playing a lesbian who then smooches Courtney Cox’ character!

Call them Friends with benefits. You already know that when Jennifer Aniston guests on the March 27 season finale of Courteney Cox’s FX drama Dirt, she’ll be playing her bosom buddy’s archenemy, a rival tabloid editor. But what I’ve learned — muahaha, exclusively! — is that Aniston’s character is a lesbian. What’s more, she won’t just mouth off to Cox’s tightly wound counterpart, she’s going to share a liplock with her. An FX rep declined to comment, but Joey Tribbiani had this to say: “Yeah, baby!”

There is one way to get your ratings up!

Emily VanCamp joins Brothers & Sisters as love child Rebecca

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Ausiello is reporting (and is pretty ecstatic about it too!) that Everwood’s Emily VanCamp has been cast in the role as the talked-about-but-never-seen Rebecca. As you probably remember, Ausiello has been campaigning for Emily, then word came the part would not be going to her. But Hilary Duff was also being considered for the part as well (fortunately, that didn’t work out either).

No word when Emily’s first episodes air, but according to Ausiello, her first day on the set of Brothers & Sisters is this Friday!
