What happened before Jericho’s armageddon? February sweeps will tell us!

Monday, December 18th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

If you have been eagerly awaiting more nitty gritty on the days leading up to Jericho’s own armageddon, you are in luck. According to Michael Ausiello, an episode airing during February sweeps will reveal what happened in the few days prior to the first episode starting.

This piece of scoop is da bomb: Rumor has it that a February-sweeps episode will go back in time to chronicle the days leading up to Armageddon. I hear lots of character questions will be answered in the process.

This episode is set to air on February 21st, which is also the premiere date of the second half of the season.

This is a very cute video about Santa Claus done in 24 style, complete with the time the video takes place on and you’d swear the people behind the video were actually the same as those who do the show. Maybe this was a leaked video from their Christmas party? Check it out!

American Idol mini-concerts… how much does your favorite Idol charge?

Sunday, December 17th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

An amusing article courtesy of the New York Post reveals how much some of the American Idol celebs charge for private performances and parties. Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson command top dollar, while pseudo-stars like Kimberly Caldwell command far (far!) less.

For the right price, “American Idol” castoffs, finalists and even champs will pay a visit to your wedding, Sweet 16 or bar mitzvah.

“The average going rate for an ‘American Idol’ finalist can be as little as $15,000 or as much as $150,000,” says a source familiar with the business of brokering singers, bands and other talent for corporate functions and exclusive private parties.

“But it really depends on what you want them to do. Are they just going to show up at the party or are they going to sing? Do they have a song on the charts right now, or are they yesterday’s news?”

I admit, it would be tempting to have Carrie Underwood perform at a private party, simply to hear her sing When He Cheats. I couldn’t care less about Ruben or Kimberly though.

Salma Hayek’s ex wants a cameo appearance on Ugly Betty

Sunday, December 17th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

It takes a brave B-list man to publicly announce he wanta a cameo on his ex-girlfriend’s show. But that is exactly what Edward Norton has done. Norton, who was with Hayek from 1999-2003, has said how happy he is for her.

Norton - who dated Hayek from 1999-2003 - is blown away by the series, which she created and produced. And he confesses he’s planning to get in touch with her about securing a cameo. He says, “I’m really happy for Salma. She deserves it.”

Hmmm… is someone looking to get back together with a certain ex-gf?

Taye Diggs Day Break drama cancelled by ABC

Saturday, December 16th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

It’s future was up in the air once ABC announced that The Knights of Prosperity and In Case of Emergency would be airing in Day Break’s Wednesday 9pm time slot. And now it looks like the final month’s worth of episodes won’t be airing anytime soon… if at all. The Taye Diggs starring series, which has also been picked up by Bravo in the UK, was supposed to conclude on December 27th.

In the Day Break time slot until January, ABC will air reruns of According to Jim and George Lopez (both which return with new episodes in January).

Show Me The Money is officially cancelled

Friday, December 15th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Well, despite announcing they were picking up six more episodes of the low-rated game show just last week, ABC has now announced that they don’t want those six episodes anymore.

ABC has decided to shut down production and pull the plug on the six additional episodes it recently ordered of the William Shatner-hosted game show, Show Me The Money.

ABC confirmed Friday morning it currently has seven more episodes of the show already in the can, and as of now plans on finishing that run and airing those episodes through January, but has decided against the additional order.

Rex returns to Wisteria Lane on Desperate Housewives

Thursday, December 14th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Bree’s murdered husband, Rex Van De Camp (Steven Culp) is returning for an episode of Desperate Housewives during February sweeps. He will provide the show’s narration during that episode, which will focus on the men of Wisteria Lane.

Episodes of Desperate Housewives are normally narrated by Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) who killed herself during the opening episode of the popular series.

Jennifer Aniston and Ben Stiller turned down for roles on 24

Thursday, December 14th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Two big box office names, Jennifer Aniston and Ben Stiller, are huge fans of the popular series 24. And when more and more names kept popping up as regulars and guest stars this season, apparently their people got in touch with the 24 people… and were turned down for roles.

Executive producer Joel Surnow says, “You can’t put those people on (the show) because they’re too recognisable. They’ll take you (viewers) out of the reality.”

Darn!

New cast members join Crossing Jordan

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

When NBC finally announced the season premiere of Crossing Jordan, they also released some details on two new cast members being added to the show.

This season, trouble is in store for Jordan and her colleagues when Special Prosecutor William Ivers (Jeffrey Donovan, “Touching Evil”) is appointed to investigate the morgue; and Kate Switzer (Brooke Smith, “Silence of the Lambs”), a prickly medical examiner, joins the coroner’s office.

No word on if these characters are recurring or regular cast members. One could become a regular, since we already know a regular character will be dying on the show this season.

Spoilers on who is getting shot on CSI Miami for February sweeps

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

So we know that one of the CSIs on CSI Miami is getting shot in the upcoming episode “Man Down”. And rumors have been running rampant that last few days that it was going to be Delko that gets shot in the head (citing a few scenes of a “leaked” script). But in today’s Ausiello Report, Michael’s spoiler seems to contradict that it could only be Delko as the possible one who is the one getting shot.

Question: Don’t forget about CSI: Miami!— Fany

Ausiello: Never, especially since there’s a life at stake. My CSI spy just tipped me off that a major character will get shot during February sweeps. As in critically shot. Very critically. (Hint: This person was featured on the cover of TV Guide in the past year.)

Both Emily Procter (Calleigh) and David Caruso (Horatio Caine) have been though. David appeared on May 15, 2006, while Emily appeared July 17, 2006. Alex Rodriguez, who plays Eric Delko, was apparently featured on a hot men of CSI themed cover.

Calleigh was supposed to get a major storyline (and a boyfriend!) this year, so it would make sense if she was the shooting victim this time around. But if Horatio is shot, it would sure provide the drama.

So could the producers at CSI Miami be trying to pull a foiler on fans with the leaked script and the Ausiello tips to keep us guessing just who will be shot?

George & Callie getting engaged on Grey’s Anatomy

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

calliegeorge.jpg
Wow. Last we saw, George and Callie were still pretty much on the outs, with a slight hint of maybe getting back together. But Ausiello reveals that George and Callie are getting engaged, and probably during February sweeps. WOW!

Question: I heard that someone on Grey’s will get pregnant. Would you happen to know who?— Katie

Ausiello: Not sure about that, but I can tell you who’s getting engaged: George and Callie! Although no one within six degrees of Shonda Rhimes would confirm it (shocker!), one well-placed mole tells me that they’ll make the announcement during February sweeps. Now, why do you suppose George and Callie — who were still broken up in the last episode — would rush into marriage so quickly? Hmmm….

I suspect it isn’t Callie that is pregnant, my money is still on it being Addison. Although on that note, it could be McDreamy, McSteamy, or even Evil Spawn.

Brenda Strong guests stars on tonights Help Me Help You

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

If you wish you saw Brenda Strong (”Mary Alice”) on Desperate Housewives a little more often, you can see her tonight on Help Me Help You.

Bill’s advice to the group is about persevering through difficult situations. Bill has his own to deal with when he tries to re-enter the dating scene after 25 years, and invites a pretty woman to an impromptu party - but she doesn’t show up. Meanwhile, Darlene is upset with Michael because he forgot about their anniversary, Dave accidentally eats some tainted brownies before departing for a co-worker’s birthday party, and Jonathan invites the group to a popular yogurt shop in order to bond on his birthday. Brenda Strong (”Desperate Housewives”) guest stars as Bill’s neighbor, Linda, and Tim Meadows also guests as fellow therapist Petey.

I really enjoy Brenda Strong, and wished they were able to incorporate her character into the show a bit more in flashbacks, even though we do hear her voice in every episode.

Lorelai’s epiphany on Gilmore Girls means Luke’s in and Christopher’s out

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

According to Michael Ausiello, Christopher is going to be the one on the out when Lorelai has an epiphany about the relationship she has/wants with Luke.

From Ausiello: The episode involving Richard getting sick has been tweaked a little bit. The story plays out the same way, with Luke running errands for Emily and Chris throwing a pity party for himself. But Lorelai’s epiphany will be more gradual. The end result will be the same: Luke in, Christopher out. The entire hour of episode 13 will take place in the hospital. There should be some great Lorelai/Emily interactions.

Also, leading up to this is Luke asking Lorelai to write a letter for his custody fight.

All the ones who want to see Lorelai get her act together and get back with Luke will be pleased!

Bachelorette Jennifer was dating someone else when final rose episode aired!

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Not that it is really that much of a shocker, but Bachelorette Jennifer - whom Prince Lorenzo bestowed his final rose to on the finale of the Bachelor - was already dating someone else when that final episode aired!

The man in question, Dan Herrero, is another teacher at Glades Middle School, the Pembroke Pines, FL school where Jennifer teaches eighth grade. And he has denied that the two are a couple… which he would have to do since Jennifer’s contract with the Bachelor says she cannot date anyone else until all episodes she appears in have been aired.

From RealityTVWorld

“I can’t believe I had just watched her accept the last rose from Prince Lorenzo on television, then only days later she was making out with Dan!,” a source told the Enquirer, according to MSNBC.com’s Jeanette Walls. “When Dan asked Jennifer about what she was going to do about Lorenzo, she told him point blank that she doesn’t have any romantic feelings for him at all and has absolutely no intention of following through with their plans to start a future together.”

Apparently National Enquirer has a picture proof of the relationship.

Of course, it would be amusing if ABC went and sued one of their bachelorettes for breach of contract. Maybe then they would start taking the show seriously rather than just using it as a vehicle for celebrity or stardom.

Orlando Jones is the Men in Trees new gay character

Monday, December 11th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

We told you yesterday about Men in Trees jumping on the gay bandwagon by adding a new gay character. Well now TV Guide has revealed that Orlando Jones is the one tapped to play the new character for at least two episodes airing in 2007.

My mole in Elmo, Alaska, just gave me the OK to solve last Friday’s Men in Trees asterisk quiz. As some of you correctly guessed, producers have successfully wooed Orlando Jones (aka ***a*** ***e*) to play George, Buzz’s (John Amos) gay son. Slated to appear in at least two episodes, George will pay Pops a visit in Elmo in early ‘07.

I wonder if he could end up being a recurring character if he meshes well with the cast and his character becomes a hit.

Michael Ausiello has revealed that Sayid and Claire will be getting new Lost flashbacks when Lost returns in 2007.

Episode 11 is Sayid airing on March 7th.
Episode 12 is Claire airing on March 14th.

Men in Trees gets a new gay character

Monday, December 11th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

menintrees.jpg

Men in Trees is following the whole gay men trend on television these days to introduce their own gay character on the series. Kristen from E! says “They are adding a gay character to the cast, and he happens to be Patrick’s half-brother. Buzz’s other son will visit Elmo in the next month or so, and he’ll have a recurring role.”

Wonder if there is any chance they could get Jason Lewis to play a gay character on Men in Trees too ;)

Dog Chapman’s hearing rescheduled in Mexico

Monday, December 11th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Duane “Dog” Chapman’s hearing has been scheduled in Mexico to a few days before Christmas, because a report had not been received by the court. The case was expected to begin today in Guadalajara, but the hearing date was pushed back after a report had not been received from a lower court.

If he is found guilty, he would serve up to four years in prison, along with his son Leland Chapman and his associate Tim Chapman (no relation). There is a chance the charges could be dropped in this hearing, although no one really knows what to expect from the Mexican court system.
